About the project

A specially designed picking container from bekuplast GmbH is used at ROSSMANN’s central warehouse in Landsberg.

The custom-designed logistics containers for ROSSMANN increase the efficiency of warehouse processes, improve workplace ergonomics and ensure reliable operation at the automated logistics centre in Landsberg.

Optimised intralogistics processes

In intralogistics, order picking using containers is a key process – particularly when it comes to manual picking. If the containers are not optimally suited to the process in question, they can significantly reduce productivity.

For this reason, bekuplast has developed a solution tailored to the customer’s specific needs. The container has been designed to work seamlessly with transport systems and to ensure ergonomic and efficient order picking.

At the same time, great emphasis has been placed on sustainability – through the use of recycled materials.

Key improvements:

  • smooth transport in conveyor systems
  • better access to products during order picking
  • increased container stability
  • optimisation of operators’ work

A new generation of containers

The newly developed container stands out for its high quality, stability and well-thought-out design. Key features of the solution:

  • a sturdy double-walled base ensuring smooth transport on conveyor systems
  • ergonomic design for comfortable one-handed operation
  • optimised access to products, speeding up order picking
  • high durability and resistance to heavy use
  • compatibility with automated systems

Greater durability thanks to a closed-loop material cycle

The new containers have been manufactured from recycled materials.
Used containers have been recycled and reused in the production of new ones, thereby reducing resource consumption and supporting the circular economy. This approach supports the sustainable development strategy by reducing raw material consumption and closing the material cycle.
